An Approach to
Pediatric Dentistry

Our Philosophy

Board Certified, Owners and Operators of Abilene Pediatric Dental Associates

Holly Ardoin, DDS, Jordan Ardoin, DDS, & Mark Betancourt, DMD

We have dedicated our life to advocating for children and their oral health. The dentistry we perform on baby teeth is temporary—those teeth eventually fall out—but the experience, friendship, and dental attitude we instill in kiddos will last a lifetime.

We believe that visiting the dentist can be an enjoyable experience for child and parent. Our team provides encouragement, reward systems, and plenty of tender loving care to our patients.

We do not believe in using negative reinforcements when dealing with children, no matter what their level of cooperation might be. When it comes to treatment, we practice evidence-based pediatric dentistry and make recommendations for patients as if they were our own kids.

Board Certification is a significant achievement that not all doctors attain. Choosing to become board certified in a specialty like Pediatric Dentistry, requires further, extensive, specialty-specific training of 2-3 years after dental school. Once training is complete, you must pass two board exams. One is written and the other is oral.

Board Certification is an extra step that a doctor chooses to take to demonstrate their commitment to lifelong learning, to know the latest advancements in their specialty, to practice at the top level of their profession, and deliver the highest quality pediatric dental care to your child.

By providing top-notch care and positive experiences for children, we hope to set the stage for superior dental health that our patients will carry with them the rest of their lives.

The Big Authority on Little Teeth

Our Mission

The mission of Abilene Pediatric Dental is to provide comprehensive dentistry for infants, children, and teenagers, including those with special needs. The goal of our services is to monitor dental growth and instill best practices in children, ensuring they care for their teeth throughout life.

We aspire to provide the highest quality of children’s dental care in a loving, compassionate, Christian environment. We endeavor to treat our patients as if they were our own kids and to offer exceptional customer service to parents.

More than a dental practice, our office is designed to be family friendly. We believe that visiting the dentist can be an enjoyable experience for the child and the parent. To match this philosophy, our office is designed to include a game room, an 850 gallon fish tank, fun wall murals, and a rocket crashing into the building for the kids.
